Lelia Francis Community Service Award

Who Is Eligible?
Community members who have devoted their time and talents to make substantial, enduring contributions to the community-at-large to improve public life adn the well-being of society. Such contributions and accomplishments must result in long-term and lasting changes for the public good and enhanced humanitarian concerns.

Individuals nominated for the award must be residents of the Greater Miami Valley and have served in Miami Valley for a sustained period of time. Organizations are not eligible for the award.

What is the criteria?
Nominees will demonstrate that they have met the following criteria:
* An outstanding commitment to volunteerism;
*Met a community need or enhanced the quality of life in the Miami Valley;
*Demonstrates acts of generosity and kindness; and
*Embraces community service as an ongoing commitment.

Emphasis will be placed on accomplishments that showcase the relevance of social engagement as a means to constructive change.

Nominees should be a role model who demonstrates the impact of community service as a way to address public challenges.
